And so, I'm off to work again. Today we got a hostess working with us to try to increase the sell of the new fragrance so we're gonna be three people in out little Givenchy corner. I gonna have lunch with Sara and tonight I'm off for a girl's night out with some friends. I hope it's gonna be a good Sunday!

Not my night!

Tonight for sure wasn't a great night for little me. I've been working five hours selling only three make up products - people were around walking, eating and drinking for free not to do shopping. The most positive thing with this fancy evening was all the extremely good looking people that was around. 8 out of 10 was spectacularly well dressed and it was fun just standing there looking at people. However, when getting out of Rinascente it was a big mess around. Packed of people, loud music everywhere and lots of drunk people (something you rarely see on the streets here in Italy). All I wanted was to find a taxi to get home but when seeing the queue at the taxt station I understood I would get home quicker just walking my speed walk.

Now I'm in a very bad mood, gonna pack my bag and then go to bed. My holidays has started - 8 days off from work and just total relax!

Fashion night out in Milan

Tonight it is the big fashion night here in Milan and the high fashion brands stores will be open until 23.30. Last year I was around with Stefania enjoying free drinks, snacks and famous people all over the town. This year I have to work! Rinascente will host a famous DJ and some special guests has been invited. I don't really mind working, guess we gonna have some fun at work too but I do mind Riccardo Scamarcio at the Paul & shark event :(

I work until 23.00 and instead of joining any fashion parties tonight I will go home and sleep as tomorrow I am off for my girl weekend in Riccione with Stefii :))

VIP's at La Rinascente

Today I just worked four hours, but those hours where so eventful that when I walked out of there it felt I had been there for days....

The evening started off with a lady falling at the entrance of the store and then she places herself at the Givenchy corner complaining of the terrible floor Rinascente has. The thing was that she felt thanks to her too high heels and the floor had nothing to do with it... Anyway slowly her whole family arrived and after an hour or so they disappeared.

Then suddenly three big black cars stopped outside the main entrance - where the Givenchy corner now is located and three small Arabic girls stepped out with six massive body guards around them... It was an Arabic princess with her friends out shopping.

When they head off we didn't manage to work normally for many minutes until around 20 paparazzi's turned up from no where and then the Danish top model Helena Christensen came on her way up to the 5th floor promoting Triumph lingerie. She's 43 years old but I must say she was amazingly beautiful and elegant.

I love when it's lots of happenings going on at work but it's a bit hard to work/sell as all the customers gets destructed by the stars and paparazzi's.

Now time for a movie evening with Luisa.

One day as a construction worker

And after... looks a bit sad...

Tonight they're changing the whole cosmetic floor inside Rinascente and it's gonna be a little bit of surprise tomorrow when we arrive to work where they have put our corners...

Today I spent the whole day packing and moving around our products and even if I'm used to always move around in the end of the day I thought I would faith in there; my arms and legs were aching.

But not overly happy to move our Givenchy corner, I gonna miss my Kiehl's, Armani, Colistar and most of all Clinique colleagues but now I hope they will put us next to some other nice people... Will have to wait until tomorrow to see.

Back in town after great days in Milano Marittima

This morning we got up early to start our car ride back to town, I had to be at work at 1pm.

The holiday is over and I am happy at all! I've had four absolutely amazing days in Milano Marittima but I would had needed few more days to be able to really relax.

However, it was fun to get back to work in some kind of way, to see and talk to everyone. In these days there are lots of tourists around so we're selling quite well as well.

Now I'm off to bed, will add pictures from the holiday further on when I find time.

The satisfaction of selling

I'm not a proper sales person but I work as a beauty therapist and my job consists of recommend the most appropriate creams and make up for our customers and my sales figures are very important to keep the job....

Yesterday I had one of those absolutely great days at work. I sold like never before and even if I felt like a zombie when walking home I felt a satisfaction inside.

Today I'm back at work and I hope to have just another great day! Tonight I have to pack for my next coming four days holiday at the sea side... :)

Sunday

Thanks to the sale la Rinascente is now having "extreme" opening hours; 09-22 everyday for a two weeks period. Yesterday I was at work already at 08.30 and I felt like a zombie but slowly slowly I woke up and the day went well and also very quick. A good thing with starting early is that the day pass much quicker.

After work I went to Assago where I met up Torri and together we choose a small and cheap photo camera for me so now I finally got one again. Just need to charge the battery and get a memory card for it before I can start using it. See picture below. Spent not even 500 SEK for it...

After the shopping tour we went for sushi dinner at Uncle Sushi down in Porta Romana. Yammi food.

Top service days at Rinascente

This and next weekend the most important Rinascente customers have been invited to come by to get the most amazing service. All floors are offering the clients something special.

The home floor is teaching you to set the table for special occations; the underwear floor is teaching the women how to find their perfect bra size and the clothes design is showing the customers what colours they most fit into.

My floor, the cosmetic floor is offering the customers free make up and skin treatments plus colour advices. We've been told we have to be dressed elegant, stand up with a constant smile all day and invite every single customer our services. It sounds like a hard work day but in the end it's more and less what all days consits of when woring at Rinascente.

TVTB in this case stands for 'ti vogliamo trattare bene' - we want to treat you well.

Now outside work and me and the girls are kicking eachothers backs saying 'you go girl' :)

Days when I love my job

Today all make up artists had to draw their favourite make up's and tomorrow we gonna use them for a special promotion.

I had never done it before and wasn't overly impressed when I was given the assignment but when started I didn't wanna stop, it was so much fun. I did two and was quite satisfied in the end :)

Now time for movie evening at home with Torri as both my flatmates are gone for 5 days.
